Some of my clients, past and present ...
Whenever possible, I include links to the works featured on this site. Some are established writers; many are still undiscovered. One of the most enjoyable aspects of my work is the opportunity to preview some amazing books by unknown authors.
Richard La Plante, Author and Mind/Body Teacher
Whether you enjoy poignant and humorous memoirs, self-help books that really do help, or edge-of-your-seat thrillers, the multi-talented Richard La Plante never disappoints! Richard is also an accomplished mind/body teacher, who has developed a unique method of exercise that benefits people of all ages and conditions. You'll find some really informative and helpful videos on his YouTube channel.
Larry Chambers, Author & Artist
Larry Chambers is not only a prolific writer who has authored over 50 nonfiction books, ranging from his riveting combat memoirs to valuable investment advice; he is also a gifted artist. Here is a sampling of his extensive body of work. You can follow Larry on his very interesting YouTube channel.
"In the Information Age we are judged by the words we say and sentences we write. Mayo Morley has been my editor for over twenty-five years. She edited my first book for Random House and 49 others, plus hundreds of magazine articles. I am dyslexic and would never think of anyone else but her. The reason is—she cares. She cares about the people she works with and wants to make sure their writing comes across in the best possible light. Mayo is not afraid to make word changes, move things around and make your best even better."
Larry Chambers, author, writer & publisher
Terence Stamp
Although best known for his acting, Terence Stamp is also a gifted writer.
And more ...
I highly recommend each of these (mostly) undiscovered gems:
Apartment 10-D
Apartment 10-D is Verly E. Dolce's memoir of growing up in an impoverished area of Haiti where he was "... used, misused, abused and taken for granted by those closest to him. Love, affection and proper nutrition eluded him for decades." Verly's conquest over the harsh circumstances he was born into and major obstacles that would defeat ordinary men is deeply inspirational. Not only has Verly achieved his dream of becoming an American citizen, but he has accomplished much more -- and he's just getting started.
Not So Simple
Observations on Poverty and People
Through poetry and photography, Brian Galetto's Not So Simple: Observations on People and Poverty, shares stories of those living on the streets, examines how poverty has persisted and gained ground in the United States, and provides a template for creating empathy and a human-centered approach to communities throughout the country. (Recipient of the 2019 California Book to Action Award)
Front Row Lady
Stories From A Life
Kathleen Larronde Hellwitz "... was born in Hollywood Hospital and would have gone straight to her dressing room, but her mother wouldn't let her because she was determined to be famous herself." This humorous memoir of a lifelong dream of Hollywood fame that is actualized at age 75 (perhaps not as she'd always imagined) is an enjoyable read ...
Spirals
My kind and beautiful mother was always a writer, but a very private soul who shunned public attention. In her later years, I collected some of her poems into this little volume as a legacy for her. She has left us, but her poetry is timeless.
The paradoxically timeless yet fleeting nature of life is wonderfully expressed in the poignant poetry of Mary Morley.
